Dr. Avery F. Browne, D.O
Dr. Avery F. Browne, D.O. is the Medical Director of our AFC Urgent Care Centers in West Orange NJ and South Plainfield NJ. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York. Prior to joining AFC Urgent Care, Dr. Browne served as an Attending Family Practice Physician at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY; a faculty member of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine; and a house physician at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, NJ. Dr. Browne has extensive prior experience working in urgent care centers. He currently serves as a team physician for all athletic programs at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ; a ringside physician for USA Boxing and NY/NJ State Professional Boxing; and is a member of the NJ and NY State Athletic Commissions. Dr. Browne completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Overlook Hospital in Summit NJ. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey’s School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford NJ where he served as Chief Resident at Barnert Hospital. Dr. Browne holds a D.O. degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, prior to which he studied biological sciences at Rutgers University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Dr. Bassam N. Odatalla, M.D.
Dr. Bassam Odatalla is a staff physician at our AFC Urgent Care Center in South Plainfield. He is board-certified in family medicine and treats patients of all ages. Dr. Odatalla has worked extensively over several years as an urgent care staff physician, family medicine physician, and sports medicine physician with a variety of medical practices in New Jersey. Dr. Odatalla completed his residency in Family Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ and received his Medical Doctor degree from Ross University School of Medicine in New Brunswick, NJ. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and psychology from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. Dr. Odatalla speaks four languages and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Jacara Kelley, M.D.
Dr. Kelley is a staff physician at our AFC Urgent Care Centers in West Orange NJ and South Plainfield NJ. She is board-certified in family medicine and treats patients of all ages. Prior to joining AFC Urgent Care, she spent several years working as an attending physician with a number of urgent care centers and family medicine practices in Chicago, IL. Dr. Kelley completed her residency in Family Medicine at the West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, IL. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and holds a Masters in Medical Science from Purdue University in Indianapolis, IN as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Eureka College in Eureka, IL.
Dr. Izhar Hasan, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Izhar Hasan is a staff physician at AFC Urgent Care in South Plainfield, NJ. Dr. Hasan is board-certified in family medicine and has numerous years of experience working as a physician at several urgent care centers in New Jersey. He has most recently served as the Medical Director of an urgent care center owned by one of the nation’s largest private operators. Dr. Hasan is also an attending physician at Clara Mass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. He completed his residency training at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ; prior to which he completed three years of training as a surgical resident as well as a postdoctoral research fellowship at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He holds a Medical Degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and recently earned a PhD in Medical Informatics from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
Dr. Shideh Doroudi, M.D.
Dr. Shideh Doroudi is a staff physician at our AFC Urgent Care Centers in South Plainfield and West Orange. She is board certified in family medicine and has most recently worked in a busy private outpatient practice in northern New Jersey where she also attended to hospital inpatients. Dr. Doroudi completed her family medicine residency at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson, NJ where she served as Chief Resident. She holds a Master of Science in Sports Medicine & Health Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and received her Doctor of Medicine from Qazvin University of Medical Sciences. Dr. Doroudi has had extensive clinical experience working in emergency departments, orthopedics, and sports medicine as well as a background in clinical research and faculty positions. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. Dr. Doroudi’s interests include travel, history, and cooking.
